One of the nice things about the month of November is the celebration of Thanksgiving. It is not only a profoundly American tradition, but also a delightful Christian one, too. For years now the Christian communities in Rocky Hill have come together to share a delightful worship service where we sing, pray, hear God’s word and then feast together with a delightful “coffee hour” after the service. The service brings out the best of the best, the most thankful Christians in our area. Now that could, of course, be you! So, mark your calendars for Tuesday, November 22nd, at 7:00 p.m. when this years’ service will be held at the Rocky Hill Congregational Church across from town hall. The new church year begins later that week with the advent of Advent. It’s time for your new beginning, too! Let’s all heed the ever wise words of G. K. Chesterton, “When it comes to life, the critical thing is whether you take things for granted or take them with gratitude.”
