Theme: Recognizing and giving thanks for God's blessings in creation.

This retreat is all about learning to see with fresh eyes and give thanks for the beauty, provision, and presence of God in the world around us. We will learn steps to practice the spiritual discipline of gratitude, and cultivate a heart that is ready to give thanks in all circumstances. Gratitude is a choice and a skill that needs to be developed. "Cultivating Gratitude" is a space to awaken joy, deepen awareness, and grow in our ability to give thanks.

In the morning, embark on a nature scavenger hunt around Hanover Pond. You'll receive a list of items to discover, such as something that embodies strength, beauty, new life, or abundance. As you search, you'll be invited to reflect on the spiritual significance of each find, connecting the visible world to the unseen hand of our Creator.

The afternoon transitions to a contemplative session of interpreting God's fingerprint by journaling or sketching. Find your own quiet spot to write or sketch your reflections on gratitude inspired by nature's wonders. You will have an opportunity to share your insights, fostering a collective spirit of appreciation and wonder.
