Baptisms at St Andrew's
Marked by water, sealed by the Spirit,
and embraced by the love of Christ forever
At St. Andrew's, Holy Baptism is joyfully celebrated as one of the foundational sacraments of the Christian faith and an important milestone in the life of the baptized and in our parish community. Through water and the Word, God welcomes us into His covenant family, proclaims His grace, and marks us as His own. Baptism is a visible sign of God's invisible work, reminding us that our relationship with Him begins not with His loving initiative.
In baptism, we are united with Christ in His death and resurrection (Romans 6:3-4), incorporated into the Body of Christ, and sealed by the Holy Spirit as members of God's people. Whether celebrated in infancy or later in life, baptism bears witness to God's initiative, faithfulness, and promise. It is both a sacred beginning and a lifelong reminder that we belong to Jesus Christ and are called to follow Him in faith, hope, and love.
At St. Andrew's, we renew our own baptismal vows whenever we witness a baptism, reaffirming our commitment to support one another in the journey of discipleship. It marks our entry into a community committed to worship, prayer, learning, service, and spiritual growth. Together, we seek to nurture faith and grow in the knowledge and love of God, living out our baptismal calling in the world.
